June 1, 2009 Nebraska will become smoke-free

During the legislative session of 2008, Nebraska State Senators passed a bill that would prohibit smoking in indoor areas. Over time, this will save hundred of lives, protecting each one of                  us - patrons and employees alike - from the deadly toxins in secondhand smoke.

Will it take a few people a little while to change their habits?  Sure.  But other places have found that compliance and public support grow steadily stronger the longer smoke-free measures are in place. Even among addicted smokers.

Refer to the links below for any questions or concerns that you may have regarding the smoking ban or call the Central District Health Department at (308)385-5175.
